Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website croatia‑med.com and has been prepared to comply with Croatia’s Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act, which implements EU Directive 2016/2102.

The website croatia‑med.com meets as many requirements as possible according to the European standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018‑08), to the extent achievable using automated tools and accessibility techniques.
To improve accessibility, the WordPress plugin A11y‑Enhancer (version 4.0.5) is used, providing a “Safe View” mode and numerous functions for screen readers, keyboard navigation, and visual assistance.

Despite efforts to make the content accessible, some areas cannot currently be fully compliant:
Dynamic or JavaScript-intensive content may not be fully supported in Safe View mode.
Text-to-speech (TTS) may not read all languages or complex structures perfectly.
Complex layouts, animations outside Safe View mode, or embedded third-party content may be difficult for screen readers.
PDF documents or other content not originally digitally structured may be partially inaccessible.
Note: These limitations are technical constraints and do not indicate a malfunction of the website.

The following content is partially accessible using the plugin and accessibility techniques:
Safe View Overlay: neutralizes colors (dark background, white text), disables animations/transitions.
Images/Icons: optionally hidden to minimize distractions.
Keyboard Navigation: toolbar and main elements are fully navigable; Space activates scan mode, arrow keys navigate and read content.
Screen Reader Support: visible content can be read on demand; focused elements are spoken during navigation (no automatic reading).
Multilingual TTS: language is detected via HTML lang attributes or URL prefixes (e.g., /en/, /de/, /hr/) for optimized speech selection.
Toolbar: always visible, does not cover content, includes large font (A+++), image toggle, and speech tools.

We continuously work to improve accessibility:
Development of the A11y‑Enhancer plugin for enhanced accessibility.
A AI-powered accessibility assistant is in development, which will improve content readability, semantic interpretation, and real-time adaptations.
Once completed, the AI assistant will be automatically enabled on the website.

Data privacy is a top priority:
All A11y‑Enhancer features process data locally on the server.
No data is shared with third parties or cloud services.
This ensures GDPR compliance and maximum user data security.

This statement was prepared on January 15, 2026, based on an internal evaluation of the website and the capabilities of A11y‑Enhancer. It is regularly updated to reflect new functionalities and improvements.
The website owner is ultimately responsible for complete accessibility. Automated tools, including this plugin, enhance accessibility but cannot replace manual adjustments, such as semantic HTML5 structure or PDF optimization.
